LOCATION AND GENERAL BACKGROUND

“Fazenda dos Mangais Eco-Tourism” is located in Bengo Province, only 28 miles (50Km) from Luanda.  The property is bound by the River Cuanza on one side and a good road to Angolan capital, Luanda on the other. A short distance from the ocean, this 1,235-acre property site has many palm-trees giving it a luxuriant appearance, despite their years of neglect.  The 2.8 miles of river frontage on the Cuanza River creates some marsh and swamp environments on the property.  This environment allows for a rich diversity of flora and fauna, and shelters several protected and endangered species.

Strategically located near the natural reserve of the Quiçama National Park and the Cabo Ledo airport, it is short distance 1.2 miles (2Km) to many beautiful beaches and the Cuanza River mouth (Barra do Cuanza).

The described area was just designated as an “Eco-Tourism” property development.  For this reason, the opportunity for future related activities will be implemented.  The property has the potential to be expanded in the future into the surrounding area.
